Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic & Surgical Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our surgical team in Laval. The successful candidate will support a variety of procedures, including orthopaedic joint replacements, gynecological, ENT, urological, general, bariatric and neurosurgery cases, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for each surgical case.
• Assist surgeons and scrub teams during procedures, handling instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patient status and adhere to aseptic and safety protocols throughout the operation.
• Document intra‑operative details and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to coordinate case flow and post‑operative care.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of OR experience, with at least 2–3 years in orthopaedic surgery (total hip and knee replacements).
• Completed nursing education (DEC or Bachelor’s degree) and a valid OIIQ licence.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Fluent French and intermediate English.
• Strong teamwork, vigilance and rigor.
