About the role
Sturgeon Public Schools is looking for a reliable, organized Office Clerk to be the welcoming face of Sturgeon Composite High School. Reporting to the Principal, you will support daily school operations, manage the exam room, and serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain student attendance records in the school’s data system.
- Update emergency and medical documentation for students.
- Support student supervision during recess, in‑school suspension, and test periods.
- Coordinate field‑trip logistics, including bus bookings and supply orders.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and delivering school events.
- Provide reception services, manage visitor logs, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Monitor hot‑lunch orders, process payments, and handle routine clerical tasks.
- Administer first aid and medication as trained.
Required profile
- Administrative Assistant Certificate or High School Diploma with at least one year of related office experience.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Clear criminal record with a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with PowerSchool, Clever, Rycor, and fee‑management software.
