About the role

The Health Protection Division of the Environmental Protection Department is seeking an Occupational Health Consultant to lead the development and management of health protection programs in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on establishing occupational health standards, overseeing health surveillance, and advising management on health‑related risks.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and oversee health surveillance processes, including periodic physicals and medical retirement assessments.
• Evaluate job fitness, develop contractor fitness‑to‑work standards, and track compliance.
• Provide occupational health consultations for new projects to minimize health hazards.
• Develop, roll out, and monitor contractor medical emergency response plans.
• Organize pre‑employment and periodic medical evaluations for contractors.
• Design and manage cardiac risk‑factor screening programs for high‑risk contractor cases.
• Assess third‑party medical providers for quality assurance.
• Conduct field surveys to detect occupational health risks and support external consultants with expert input.
• Utilize and develop occupational health technology, automation, and digital solutions.
• Support persons with disabilities, initiate research studies, and contribute to innovation, publications, and professional development.
