Nurse 2 – Health Links (Info Santé)

About the role

The Health Links Info Santé team at Misericordia Health Centre is seeking a Nurse 2 to provide 24/7 clinical support via phone. You will assess callers, offer health information, guide decision‑making, and coordinate referrals while documenting all interactions in the electronic health record.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls around the clock, perform assessments, and provide professional health advice.
• Document demographic data and encounter details in the electronic health record.
• Process new home‑care nursing referrals from physicians, walk‑in clinics, hospitals, and out‑of‑province sources.
• Support home‑care nurses after hours with problem‑solving for operational and clinical issues.
• Follow approved written protocols and use the nursing process to ensure safe, evidence‑based care.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of clinical experience in a community or home‑care setting.
• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• CPR certification in line with employer policy.
• Active participation in professional nursing associations is preferred.

Required skills

• Fluency in English (French and additional languages are assets).
• Strong computer skills for electronic health record documentation.
• Advanced triage and assessment abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
