Mud Rotary & Auger Driller (Sonic)

About the role

We are looking for a Mud Rotary & Auger Driller to operate and maintain drilling equipment on geotechnical projects. The successful candidate will work onsite in various field locations, supporting engineers and technicians while ensuring safety and equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor mud rotary drilling and auger rigs, sampling systems and in‑situ testing equipment.
• Assist engineers and technicians with sample collection and geophysical measurements.
• Mobilize and demobilize equipment in hard‑to-access sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling rigs and related tools.
• Report safety incidents, equipment issues and field observations to the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence; commercial licence is an asset.
• Experience or training in geotechnical fieldwork, drilling or heavy‑equipment operation.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel for extended periods.

• Mud rotary drilling operation.

• Equipment maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
