Mechanical Engineer & Project Manager

About the role

REAL ALLOY is seeking a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager to lead capital improvement projects at its Mississauga plant. You will combine engineering expertise with project management to enhance safety, quality, and productivity while delivering cost‑saving technology upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capital projects from concept through completion, including design, budgeting, and RFP/RFQ preparation.
• Develop and revise mechanical layouts and engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet quality, timeline, and regulatory requirements.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and productivity improvements, ensuring equipment reliability.
• Conduct root‑cause investigations, maintain technical documentation, and prepare engineering reports and feasibility studies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–4 years of experience planning, specifying, and implementing engineering design or maintenance projects in a heavy‑industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of industrial mechanical systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, and combustion.
• Ability to communicate effectively at multiple management levels and manage several projects concurrently.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to the United States.
