Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the reliable operation of large industrial textile processing equipment and overall facility systems. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will handle start‑up and shut‑down procedures, troubleshoot electrical issues, and perform routine and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on processing equipment, water systems, boilers, and related machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems, including 3‑phase 230 V systems.
• Execute emergency and unscheduled repairs, replace or adjust parts, and test equipment for proper operation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Study blueprints, manufacturers’ manuals, and electrical schematics to ensure correct operation.
• Collaborate with plant personnel, support other branches, and transport parts or equipment as needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum two years of maintenance engineering experience in industrial settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or boiler license may be required.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, lift equipment, and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
