Maintenance Technician – Camp Services (BC, Canada)

About the role

ATCO Frontec is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the Camp Services team at the Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia. The role supports a 24/7 camp operation, handling mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues such as leaking faucets, clogged toilets, drains and showers.
• Perform building repairs including drywall, painting, flooring, minor carpentry and ceiling tile work.
• Conduct minor HVAC maintenance – filter replacement, cleaning, duct and register repairs.
• Inspect camp facilities and mechanical equipment daily, reporting any irregularities.
• Monitor temperature and humidity levels and communicate concerns to management.
• Complete maintenance service requests using the CMMS work‑order system.
• Maintain exterior areas and respond quickly to changing client requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of safe work practices and health‑safety regulations.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a 24/7 environment.
• Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
