Legal Expert – Remote Contract (Mid to Senior)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Expert to work remotely on a contract basis. You will evaluate and improve AI‑generated legal content, ensuring accuracy, logical consistency, and compliance across a broad range of legal domains.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated legal analyses, issue‑spotting exercises, and reasoning for clarity and correctness.
• Produce high‑quality legal explanations, model analyses, and expert‑level reasoning workflows.
• Evaluate AI responses involving statutory interpretation, case law, procedural reasoning, and doctrinal application.
• Identify methodological errors, incorrect rule application, jurisdictional mismatches, and logical inconsistencies.
• Fact‑check citations, rule statements, case references, statutory interpretations, and compliance assertions.
• Analyze issues across contracts, torts, criminal law, civil procedure, constitutional law, and regulatory/administrative law.
• Compare and rank multiple AI‑generated responses based on legal correctness and analytical depth.
• Write structured feedback that explains errors and outlines the correct analytical path.
• Support AI model improvement through annotation, quality‑assurance reviews, and documentation of legal reasoning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law (JD/LLB), Legal Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in law, legal studies, compliance, or related legal fields.
• Strong legal reasoning, issue‑spotting, statutory interpretation, and case analysis skills.
• Solid knowledge of constitutional law, contracts, torts, criminal law, civil procedure, and regulatory/administrative law.
• Exceptional attention to detail when evaluating citations, procedural posture, and analytical consistency.
• Excellent English writing ability, capable of delivering concise, precise feedback.
• Self‑directed, reliable, and comfortable working remotely across time zones.
• Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, legal QA, or expert review is strongly preferred.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency.
