Legal Counsel – Maternity Replacement

About the role

The ALDO Group is seeking a Legal Counsel on a one‑year maternity replacement contract. You will support business and operational teams by drafting, negotiating and reviewing a variety of commercial agreements across IT, wholesale, marketing, procurement and supply‑chain functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiations, drafting and review of contracts related to IT, wholesale, marketing, procurement and supply‑chain activities.
• Provide legal support to Product Development, Marketing and PR teams.
• Train internal stakeholders to improve their understanding of legal concepts.
• Assist other members of the legal team and handle additional legal assignments as needed.

Required profile

• Member of the Quebec Bar.
• 3–5 years of experience as a lawyer in a firm or in‑house legal department, focusing on commercial law.
• Strong negotiation, drafting and communication abilities.
• Highly responsive, service‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
