Lecturer – Nurse Practitioner (One‑year leave replacement)

About the role

The School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia seeks a full‑time Lecturer for a one‑year leave replacement. The successful candidate will join the Master of Nursing‑Nurse Practitioner (MN‑NP) program and begin duties on September 1, 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core and clinical graduate courses in the NP program.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
• Supervise MN‑NP students during practicum and clinical placements.
• Contribute to curriculum development and implementation.
• Provide service to the School, the University, and the nursing profession.

Required profile

• Active Nurse Practitioner credential with registration through the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing.
• Experience teaching NP students in an academic setting or supervising clinical practice in primary care.
• Demonstrated ability in classroom teaching, skills‑lab instruction, and group facilitation.
