Junior Estimator

About the role

Clearspace is looking for a Junior Estimator to join its integrated design‑build team. This hands‑on position supports the estimating function for commercial office fit‑outs, helping to translate design concepts and site data into accurate project pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Attend site surveys, record conditions, and refine estimates.
• Build and maintain project estimates using Microsoft Excel and the internal Digital Charter platform.
• Gather, level, and analyse vendor and trade quotes for millwork, electrical, mechanical, flooring, glazing, framing, and related trades.
• Prepare and deliver Test Fit Request pricing with clear assumptions and exclusions.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on value engineering, scope clarification, and budget alignment.
• Maintain unit‑rate libraries and historical cost data to ensure pricing accuracy.
• Document estimating processes and support continuous‑improvement initiatives, including automation and AI projects.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or a related field, preferably in commercial interiors or fit‑outs.
• Degree or diploma in construction management, architectural technology, quantity surveying, civil engineering, interior design, or a related discipline.
• Comfort reading and interpreting architectural and millwork drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a habit of double‑checking numbers.
• Effective written and verbal communication for interaction with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.
