Junior Buyer

About the role

Vista Projects is seeking a Junior Buyer to support the procurement of materials and equipment for its industrial engineering projects. The role is ideal for recent graduates with a passion for supply chain and a desire to work on challenging energy‑sector initiatives in Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Work within project teams, often on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ensure timely, cost‑effective purchasing while complying with client requirements and procurement best practices.
• Prepare, issue and evaluate bid lists, RFQs and commercial bid evaluations.
• Purchase electrical, instrumentation and piping commodities and related equipment.
• Create and issue purchase orders, negotiate progress payments and manage vendor relationships.
• Expedite orders, close purchase orders and resolve supplier issues.
• Attend supplier status meetings, review invoices for accuracy and coordinate logistics as needed.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary certification or equivalent; recent graduates are welcome.
• Canadian residency (open to Canadian residents only).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced project environment.

Required skills

• Experience with procurement software for order tracking and expediting.
