About the role
We are a boutique Canadian immigration law firm seeking an experienced associate to strengthen our litigation team in Toronto. You will work on complex immigration matters, including Federal Court and Immigration & Refugee Board (IRB) cases, while providing high‑quality client service.
Key responsibilities
- Represent clients before the Federal Court and IRB on inadmissibility, removal, refugee protection, and other complex immigration issues.
- Manage a high‑volume practice independently, handling temporary residence applications, Express Entry, and other economic processing files as needed.
- Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and briefs with precision and timeliness.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
Required profile
- Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.B. degree and called to the Ontario Bar.
- Minimum two years of experience practicing immigration and refugee law in Canada.
- In‑depth knowledge of Canadian immigration statutes and regulations, especially in inadmissibility, removal, and refugee protection.
- Ability to manage a high‑volume caseload independently and deliver exceptional client service.
- Strong interest in professional development and community advocacy.
Required skills
