About the role

Cariboo Memorial Hospital is seeking a Hospitalist to join its acute inpatient medicine team in Williams Lake. The position offers a supportive environment with strong teamwork, quality‑improvement focus, and the chance to practice in a welcoming rural community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute inpatient care as the most responsible physician for complex medical patients.
• Co‑manage surgical patients and deliver palliative care services.
• Manage an average of 12‑16 inpatients per 8‑hour shift.
• Collaborate with hospital specialists and family physicians.
• Participate in after‑hours coverage and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or certified in Internal Medicine.
• Passionate about patient care and teamwork.
• Willing to work in a rural setting and engage in continuous learning.
• Open to full‑time, part‑time, or locum arrangements.

• Annual base salary of $336,168 CAD (approximately $200.10/hour).
