HIL Engineer – Windsor, ON

About the role

Kyyba is seeking an experienced HIL Engineer to join an advanced automotive engineering team focused on driveline and vehicle systems development in Windsor, ON. You will work on cutting‑edge simulation and validation technologies for both ICE and electrified powertrains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate HIL/MIL/SIL solutions for vehicle controllers using dSPACE ControlDesk.
• Create and maintain HIL plant models in Simulink/Matlab.
• Perform HIL I/O mapping, wiring harness implementation, and systematic troubleshooting.
• Configure and test communication interfaces such as CAN, CAN‑FD, SPI, and LIN, and manage ECU flashing.
• Execute diagnostics using UDS, XCP, CANalyzer, and CANoe.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide technical reports for senior management.
• Travel to the United States for project meetings as required.

Required profile

• Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience on HIL/MIL/SIL projects.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with dSPACE ControlDesk (including university research projects).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to the USA.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
