Graphic Designer – Marketing & Digital Experience

About the role

The Designer will create high‑impact visual communications for Capilano University’s Marketing & Digital Experience team. Working closely with content creators and external vendors, you will translate ideas into engaging print and digital assets that support the university’s brand and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and produce a wide range of graphic materials for print and digital platforms, from simple flyers to complex campaigns.
• Coordinate with external printers, manufacturers, freelancers, and post‑production studios to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
• Manage large‑scale Out‑of‑Home advertising projects, reviewing cost quotations and staying within budget.
• Interpret creative briefs, develop strategic design solutions, and present concepts to managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with digital teams to create graphics for social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, YouTube, and Twitter.
• Produce and maintain a variety of assets including documents, presentations, posters, signage, templates, and digital advertisements.
• Provide art direction, design advice, and technical assistance for university photo/video shoots.
• Self‑manage assignments, track progress, and report to the Manager, Creative.
