About the role
The Geneticist – Medical Specialist will work within a high‑throughput laboratory environment, conducting detailed analyses of biological specimens and contributing to disease research. This position reports to senior laboratory leadership and collaborates closely with physicians and researchers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
- Prepare research papers for publication and presentation.
- Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes they cause.
- Supervise laboratory activities and a team of 16‑20 staff members.
- Act as a consultant to other physicians on genetic and disease‑related matters.
Required profile
- Accurate and detail‑oriented.
- Strong client focus and dependability.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Team player with good interpersonal awareness.
- Organized, reliable and able to exercise sound judgement.
- Creative and able to take initiative.
