Full-Time Probationary Preschool Instructor

About the role

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is seeking a full‑time, probationary Preschool Instructor for Ecole Notre Dame School in Leduc, Alberta, starting August 24, 2026. The role focuses on creating a play‑based, developmentally appropriate environment that nurtures children’s social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and academic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver daily learning activities aligned with early childhood best practices.
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom that supports each child’s holistic development.
• Assess and document children’s progress and communicate observations to families.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to maintain a cohesive curriculum.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Level 2 or higher early childhood education certification (preferred).
• Passion for play‑based, developmentally appropriate teaching methods.
• Ability to obtain a recent criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and Alberta Children’s Intervention Record Check.
• Commitment to the school’s Catholic values is an asset but not mandatory.
