Emergency Medicine Physician – Fraser Canyon Hospital

About the role

The Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine is hiring a full‑time and/or part‑time physician (CCFP with or without additional EM training) to provide 24/7 emergency care at Fraser Canyon Hospital, a 16‑bed community facility located in Hope, BC.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 emergency stabilization and triage for patients arriving at the hospital.
• Manage acute medical presentations and coordinate care for travelers using the major highways in the region.
• Support hospice services and other inpatient care as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in the on‑call schedule.

Required profile

• FRCPC (Emergency Medicine), CCFP‑EM, or ABEM certification.
• Eligible for provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) or USA‑class registration.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.

Required skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
