Dispatch Supervisor

About the role

The Dispatch Supervisor leads daily dispatch operations for active projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate execution. This role acts as the operational bridge between dispatch teams, management, carriers, and customers while fostering team development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the 8:15 AM dispatch meeting to review projects, risks, and action plans.
• Present project updates at the 8:45 AM LML meeting, covering weather, road conditions, and inventory.
• Prepare and distribute customer trucking reports by 11:30 AM daily.
• Review cross‑shift notes, align dispatch methods, and communicate proactive customer updates.
• Maintain and update the Roster Tracker, adjusting roster sizes based on demand.
• Monitor site inventory levels, pull rates, and ensure trucks meet trip targets.
• Provide real‑time coaching, prepare upcoming project documentation, and confirm carrier start dates.
• Conduct monthly skill assessments, review incident reports, and perform weekly carrier audits.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory experience (required).
• 5+ years of dispatch or logistics experience, preferably in the oilfield sector.
• Strong communication, planning, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment.

Required skills

• Proficient use of the Microsoft suite of tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
