About the role
The Department of Biology at McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach BIOL 115 Essential Biology in the Fall 2026 term. This position involves delivering lectures to non‑biology majors and supporting their learning experience.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare course materials and a detailed course plan.
- Deliver lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 08:35 am–09:55 am in MCMED 522.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and other assessments.
- Submit attendance records and final grades in a timely manner.
Required profile
- PhD in Cell, Molecular, or Developmental Biology.
- Strong knowledge of genetics, cell biology, and molecular biology.
- Ability to teach complex concepts at a level suitable for non‑biology majors.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
