Course Lecturer – Essential Biology (BIOL 115)

About the role

The Department of Biology at McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach BIOL 115 Essential Biology in the Fall 2026 term. This position involves delivering lectures to non‑biology majors and supporting their learning experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare course materials and a detailed course plan.
• Deliver lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 08:35 am–09:55 am in MCMED 522.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and other assessments.
• Submit attendance records and final grades in a timely manner.

Required profile

• PhD in Cell, Molecular, or Developmental Biology.
• Strong knowledge of genetics, cell biology, and molecular biology.
• Ability to teach complex concepts at a level suitable for non‑biology majors.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
