Cost Controller – Financial Efficiency Lead

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Cost Controller to provide analytical support and insight for both operations and accounting. The role will be based on‑site in Spallumcheen, BC and will drive financial efficiency across large infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the cost control function to improve financial efficiency.
• Oversee variance analysis against earned value and budget reports, providing explanations.
• Develop and deliver KPI dashboards and support annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Partner with Operations and Finance Managers to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Assist finance team with accrual reviews, month‑end close, and standardisation of accounting processes.
• Prepare job costing and purchase order reports, flagging issues and conducting in‑depth cost analysis of completed projects.
• Produce lessons‑learned reports and support monthly operational reporting.
• Evaluate business processes, propose improvements, and present findings to various organisational levels.
• Undertake additional projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in Canada at the time of application and throughout employment.

What we offer

• Salary range: CAD 105,000 – 110,000 per year.
