Contract Trainer (Casual) – Ontario

About the role

Join a leading workplace health and safety organization as a Contract Trainer, delivering accredited training programs across Ontario. This casual, remote position allows you to share your expertise with clients in education, municipal, and healthcare sectors while representing PSHSA as a trusted safety partner.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Basic Certification and Part 2 Certification health and safety training in line with PSHSA standards.
• Follow established lesson plans and ensure training quality.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
• Stay informed on emerging health and safety initiatives across jurisdictions.
• Promote PSHSA products and services during client engagements.

Required profile

• Professional occupational health and safety designation or recent OHS training (30+ hours within 2 years).
• At least five years of recent OHS experience or a degree/diploma/certificate in OHS.
• Adult education experience: 100+ hours of delivery in the past five years, or a credential in adult education principles.
• Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and guidelines.
• Ability to travel throughout Ontario as required.
