Special Education Consultant – Remote Part‑time (up to $1,000 per task)

About the role

Mercor is seeking a Special Education Consultant to work remotely on a contract basis. You will evaluate AI‑generated content related to individualized education program (IEP) goals, accommodations, and behavioral interventions, ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess AI‑generated outputs for IEP goal writing, accommodation recommendations, and behavioral intervention strategies.
• Create realistic special‑education workflow scenarios, such as IEP meeting documentation and progress monitoring.
• Annotate, label, and validate data across special‑education use cases while maintaining compliance with IDEA and related regulations.
• Provide structured feedback on AI accuracy concerning special‑education law and evidence‑based practices.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for special‑education AI.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in special education, including classroom instruction, IEP coordination, or applied behavior analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate individualized student support workflows into structured evaluation tasks.
• Excellent written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
