Construction Site Superintendent

About the role

Our client, a nationally‑operating general contracting and development firm, is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent to lead daily field operations on commercial, retail, hospitality and multi‑unit residential projects across Canada. The role requires coordinating trades, materials and deliveries while maintaining safety and schedule integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead daily field activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and company policies.
• Review and implement updated drawings and specifications to guarantee construction aligns with the latest plans.
• Produce daily reports in Procore to keep project teams, clients and consultants informed.
• Perform miscellaneous carpentry, site organization and clean‑up tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a site superintendent on ground‑up and tenant fit‑out projects in commercial/retail/hospitality sectors.
• Understanding of the full building process from start to finish.
• Ability to communicate professionally with project managers, subcontractors, clients and consultants.
• Post‑secondary education or trade school accreditation is a plus.
• Willingness to travel across Canada with paid weekly travel arrangements.
