About the role

COBS Bread is seeking a commercially‑minded Commercial Manager to join the Finance team in Vancouver. You will play a pivotal role in supporting franchisee financial performance, managing risk, and driving growth across our bakery network.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cash flow and financial performance of at‑risk franchise locations and develop recovery plans.
• Provide regular financial risk reporting to Finance and Operations leadership.
• Support relationships with banking and lending partners, assisting franchisees with financing options.
• Administer financial assessments within the franchise gate approval process and maintain related documentation.
• Review financial submissions from prospective franchisees, assess viability, and prepare recommendation reports.
• Conduct multi‑site franchisee growth reviews, evaluating profitability, debt obligations, and working‑capital capacity.
• Partner with Operations to review under‑performing bakeries, deliver financial insights, and track action‑plan outcomes.
• Execute other tasks and projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or financial analysis, preferably in multi‑site retail or franchise environments.
• MBA and/or CFA designation is an asset.
• Experience with lending, credit analysis, or banking relationships is a plus.
• Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally with Operations and Development teams.
