About the role

We are seeking a strategic Commercial Director to drive national growth and oversee full business performance for our consumer packaged goods portfolio in Canada. Reporting to the North American leadership team, you will collaborate with internal functions and external partners to accelerate market presence in a competitive retail environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a nationwide commercial strategy, including annual sales plans, growth initiatives and profitability targets.
  • Own full P&L responsibility, delivering revenue, margin and cash‑flow objectives.
  • Lead and develop a small internal team while ensuring alignment with company values and goals.
  • Manage key external partners such as distributors, agencies and market‑insight providers to drive commercial success.
  • Guide national marketing and communications initiatives, aligning global brand strategy with local market needs.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support customer growth through strategic partnerships and market expansion.
  • Collaborate across marketing, finance, supply chain, regulatory and insights functions to bring innovation to market and optimise portfolio performance.

Required profile

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial leadership, marketing or general management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing P&L performance and delivering sustainable growth in CPG/FMCG environments.
  • Experience leading teams and managing external agencies, distributors or strategic partners.
  • Strong analytical, financial, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset.
