Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse (Pediatrics & Adults)

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse will support the execution of clinical research studies within the Pediatric and Adult departments of the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. Working under the Manager of Pediatric and Adult Research, the role ensures patient safety, protocol compliance, and high‑quality data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility for study protocols.
• Maintain medication, adverse event, and questionnaire logs, and ensure accurate source documentation.
• Monitor patient safety, medication compliance, and prepare protocol‑related orders and requests.
• Coordinate data collection, complete research documents, and respond to information queries.
• Conduct protocol‑specific training and manage Research Ethics Board submissions.
• Collaborate with investigators, healthcare personnel, and pathology services as needed.

Required profile

• DEC in nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
• Good‑standing member of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).

Required skills

• Advanced oral and written proficiency in French and English.
• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple studies simultaneously.
