Casual On-Call Bakery Supervisor

About the role

The Bakery Supervisor will lead the operations of The Mindful Mouthful, a social‑enterprise bakery run by Clements Centre Society. This on‑call, casual position ensures smooth production, high product quality, compliance with licensing and Food Safe standards, and satisfaction for both customers and the team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production processes to maintain consistent quality of baked goods.
• Manage records, licensing documentation, and Food Safe compliance in line with Island Health requirements.
• Coordinate product distribution, marketing activities, and customer relations.
• Maintain equipment and facility standards, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Lead and support a team, fostering a positive workplace and addressing any issues promptly.

Required profile

• At least three years recent experience in a commercially licensed bakery, including two years in a supervisory role.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community‑inclusion setting.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and the physical and mental capacity to perform bakery duties.
