About the role

Versance is building an AI Operating System for public companies and is looking for a Business Development Manager to turn engaged prospects into paying customers. This role focuses on nurturing inbound interest generated by an AI‑driven outbound system and guiding prospects to demos with the founder.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage and nurture prospects who have opened, clicked, or replied to AI‑generated outreach via email and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Schedule and prepare founder‑led demos with C‑suite, CFO, IR, and communications stakeholders.
  • Own the sales cycle from demo to close, handling objections, proposals, and contract signing.
  • Maintain daily HubSpot pipeline hygiene, updating stages, activities, notes, and dispositions.
  • Manage post‑sale invoicing, renewal conversations, and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Provide feedback on outbound messaging and demo content to improve the AI‑driven sales process.
  • Hand off closed accounts to Customer Success for deployment while monitoring renewal signals.

Required profile

  • 2–5 years of B2B sales experience with a proven record of selling to C‑suite, CFO, IR, communications, or marketing leaders.
  • Experience selling SaaS, workflow, fintech, mar‑tech, reg‑tech, or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Strong track record of managing the full sales cycle and achieving revenue targets.

Required skills

  • Proficient use of HubSpot CRM.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospect outreach.
