About the role
The Benefits Administrator supports the Manager, Benefits in delivering UBC's employee benefit programs. The role ensures accurate information, resolves issues with providers, and maintains the benefits website and enrollment system.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update benefits information on the HR website and Workday HRIS.
- Provide timely benefits guidance to faculty, staff, and administrators through consultations, webinars, and orientation sessions.
- Research and analyze complex benefit issues, recommending improvements and ensuring compliance with policies, collective agreements, and legislation.
- Coordinate changes to plan documents, employee booklets, and communications in collaboration with consultants and providers.
- Support special projects, new benefit programs, and the annual planning process for health, wellbeing, and benefits.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum three years of related experience in benefits administration or HR.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and willingness to respect diverse perspectives.
