Associate Lawyer – Personal Injury Litigation

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Lawyer with 2–5 years of plaintiff‑side personal injury experience to join a respected litigation team in downtown Toronto. The role offers the chance to handle a diverse portfolio of personal injury matters while working closely with senior counsel in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage personal injury files from intake through resolution.
• Conduct client meetings and provide strategic legal guidance.
• Draft pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, and pre‑trial/trial documentation.
• Attend discoveries, mediations, pre‑trials, motions, and hearings.
• Collaborate with medical, vocational, and liability experts to develop case strategy.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and litigation planning.
• Maintain organized file management and meet litigation deadlines.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of plaintiff‑side personal injury litigation experience.
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively.
