Assistant Storekeeper – Faculty of Dentistry

About the role

The Faculty of Dentistry Nobel Biocare Oral Health Centre at UBC is seeking an Assistant Storekeeper to manage inventory, procurement and supply coordination for clinical, laboratory and research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Oral Health Centre stores, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective service delivery.
• Coordinate procurement of clinical, laboratory and research supplies, instruments and equipment in line with Faculty policies and budget requirements.
• Process purchase requisitions in Workday for orders over $3,500 and manage other purchases through approved channels.
• Handle shipping, receiving, inventory control and financial tracking of purchases to maintain continuity of teaching and patient‑care activities.
• Liaise with faculty, staff, students, vendors, procurement and finance teams to resolve supply issues and improve processes.
• Maintain optimal stock levels, ensure compliance with university policies and safety regulations, and provide guidance on inventory processes and material handling.

Required profile

• Experience in inventory management within a clinical or academic environment.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures and financial tracking.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and university policy compliance.
• Strong communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
