Architect – Residential Design (Part‑Time/Full‑Time)

About the role

Join an award‑winning, collaborative architectural and design team that delivers residential projects across Greater Vancouver. The role can be part‑time or full‑time, focusing on renovations, custom homes, multi‑unit developments and tenant‑in‑place projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs for renovations, custom homes, multi‑unit and tenant‑in‑place projects.
• Oversee on‑site measuring and produce as‑built drawings.
• Create and manage construction and permitting drawings using AutoCAD.
• Generate 3D visualisations for client presentations.
• Conduct on‑site meetings with clients, consultants and team members.
• Liaise with municipal authorities to facilitate permit applications.

Required profile

• Architect AIBC designation or in the process of obtaining it.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in British Columbia residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of BC Building Code, Step Code and municipal bylaws.
• Experience with both renovation and new‑construction (Part 9 single‑family) projects.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Commitment to health & safety standards and continuous learning.
