About the role
The Appointment Scheduler joins the Medical Imaging department at UHN, Canada’s leading research hospital. Working Monday‑Friday on‑site at Toronto General Hospital, you will support the scheduling of imaging studies across multiple modalities, ensuring accurate and safe patient appointments.
Key responsibilities
- Review imaging requests, place orders and verify protocols.
- Enter, schedule, reschedule or cancel imaging appointments using electronic systems.
- Communicate preparation instructions to patients, referring clinics and healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all scheduling activities.
- Apply safety guidelines and exercise judgment on complex clerical tasks.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health administration is a plus.
- Experience in a clerical or scheduling role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with patients and clinical staff.
Required skills
- Proficiency with electronic scheduling and data‑entry systems.
- Basic knowledge of medical imaging terminology and protocols.
