Application Software Developer – Android

About the role

Join Ford's Enterprise Technology team to design and build the UI layer of an Intelligent Voice Assistant for automotive applications. You will work with the latest Android technologies to deliver a high‑performance, low‑distraction interface that blends voice and visuals for drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the UI using Jetpack Compose and modern Android best practices.
• Create state‑driven, interactive vector animations with Rive that react to voice triggers and system states.
• Maintain a clean, scalable codebase using MVVM or MVI architectural patterns.
• Optimize performance to meet automotive‑grade responsiveness and stability requirements.
• Collaborate with VUI designers, AI engineers, and product managers to align visual feedback with spoken interactions.
• Prototype innovative ways for drivers to interact with AI while ensuring safety.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of professional Android development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience using Jetpack Compose.
