AML Program Manager

About the role

The AML Program Manager will lead the implementation and daily operation of PC Financial’s Anti‑Money Laundering and Anti‑Terrorism Financing program. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting a collaborative, high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the AML/ATF program to ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance on adjudicating alerts from transaction monitoring and name‑screening (PEPs, sanctions, negative news).
• Manage the escalation process, including quality reviews, determination of suspicious activity, and recommendations for customer relationship decisions.
• Develop and maintain internal Standard Operating Procedures, job aids, and a performance‑management framework for investigators.
• Oversee relationships with outsourced partners, drive operational effectiveness, monitor quality, coordinate audits, and conduct vendor risk assessments.
• Support regulatory governance by reviewing legislation and recommending process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing day‑to‑day AML operations within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of transaction monitoring, name‑screening, and suspicious activity reporting.
• Experience managing outsourced service providers and conducting quality and risk assessments.
• Ability to develop SOPs, job aids, and performance metrics for AML investigators.
