Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Senior Tax Analyst to join our growing tax team. This position is ideal for a CPA‑designated or CPA‑track professional who enjoys collaborative, client‑focused work and exposure to a diverse portfolio of Canadian private companies, owner‑managed businesses, and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal, corporate, trust and partnership tax returns.
• Apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address tax issues relevant to clients.
• Assist with tax provisions and year‑end tax reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and filing deadlines.
• Support managers and partners with corporate reorganizations, estate and succession planning, and owner‑manager tax strategies.
• Conduct tax research and prepare client memos and recommendations.
• Liaise with the Canada Revenue Agency and provincial ministries on client issues.
• Identify tax‑saving opportunities and planning initiatives for clients.
• Contribute to process improvements and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• CPA designation in progress or completed.
• 3‑5 years of Canadian tax experience in public accounting.
• Strong understanding of Canadian income tax fundamentals.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and supporting tax planning engagements.
• Proficiency with tax software such as TaxPrep, CaseWare, or CCH products.
• Strong technical research and client communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines independently.
