Senior Project Engineer – Capital Projects

About the role

Elk Valley Resources is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead small‑to‑medium capital projects from concept through commissioning. The role focuses on earthworks, civil infrastructure, industrial buildings and other site‑development initiatives within the Elk Valley of British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets and execution plans for a portfolio of capital projects.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and close‑out activities.
• Lead civil, infrastructure, plant, environmental and tailings‑related projects in collaboration with contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Support operational readiness, commissioning, start‑up and hand‑over processes.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

Required profile

• Collaborative, results‑oriented engineering professional with strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
