Senior Program Manager – Strategic Initiatives

About the role

The Toronto Transit Commission is seeking a senior leader to drive its long‑term strategic vision. As Program Manager you will oversee complex, multi‑year programs that support the TTC’s mission of safe, reliable, and accessible public transit.

Key responsibilities

• Define program scope, priorities, and plans aligned with TTC strategic objectives.
• Develop business cases, schedules, budgets, and resource plans for multiple inter‑related projects.
• Provide leadership to cross‑functional teams and ensure effective integration across initiatives.
• Monitor progress, risks, and performance; prepare reports for senior leadership and board members.
• Establish governance, quality controls, and audit processes.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and manage vendor contracts.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large, complex programs in a public‑sector or transportation environment.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities with a focus on strategic outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior leaders.
