Seasonal Houseperson – Hotel Arts

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Seasonal Houseperson to join the Housekeeping team at Hotel Arts. You will help keep both public and guest areas of the hotel clean and welcoming throughout the busy May-September season.

Key responsibilities

• Clean public spaces such as lobby, fitness centre, pool area, offices, staff locker rooms, stairwells, corridors, parkade and exterior areas according to a daily task list.
• Remove graffiti, power-wash awnings, driveways and entrances, and perform carpet and upholstery cleaning as assigned.
• Report any maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain guest-room hallways and service areas, vacuum as needed and collect linens to support Room Attendants.
• Undertake special cleaning projects (e.g., guest-room windows) and assist with laundry sorting and folding.

Required profile

• Flexible availability for weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays; shifts between 7 am and 11:30 pm.
• 1-2+ years experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for long periods.
• Valid First Aid Certificate and WHMIS/Chemical Handling training are assets.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.

Required skills

• Operation of floor-scrubbing and buffing equipment.
• Use of shampooing and power-washing machines.
• Basic knowledge of graffiti removal techniques.

What we offer

• Starting wage of $18.50 per hour.
