Probationary Full-Time Educational Assistant

About the role

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is seeking a probationary full‑time Educational Assistant to join the Holy Trinity campus in Drayton Valley, Alberta, starting August 26, 2026. The role supports classroom activities and provides assistance to students with exceptional abilities or medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering instructional material and managing classroom environments.
• Provide individualized support to students with special abilities or health requirements.
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning space, including occasional duties in the school canteen.
• Collaborate with staff to monitor student progress and report observations.

Required profile

• Experience working with students who have exceptional abilities or medical needs is preferred.
• Experience in a school canteen is considered an asset.
• Ability to obtain a recent Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Alberta Children’s Intervention Record Check.
• Catholic affiliation is an asset but not mandatory.
