Overnight Pharmacist – 10PM to 6AM Shift

About the role

The Health Care Centre Pharmacy at Waterloo Regional Health Network is seeking a licensed pharmacist for overnight shifts (10 PM‑6 AM) on a temporary full‑time basis until April 30 2027. This position works within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient‑focused pharmaceutical care to community clients, outpatients, and specialty clinic patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medication dispensing, counseling, and clinical services during overnight hours.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and pharmacy technicians to ensure patient safety.
• Support specialty clinics and the Regional Cancer Centre with pharmacy needs.
• Integrate expanded scope of practice activities, including injections and medication reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and a current Ontario pharmacist licence (Part A).
• Minimum two years of relevant pharmacy practice experience.
• Injection certification and willingness to use the full expanded pharmacist scope.
• Excellent attendance record and strong customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software such as McKesson Propel or KROLL (preferred).
