About the role

The National Account Manager is responsible for strengthening strategic relationships with existing customers and generating new business within a defined territory. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the role focuses on achieving sales growth targets, developing joint business plans, and expanding distribution channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain win‑win partnerships with key retail and wholesale accounts.
  • Identify and nurture new business opportunities to meet profit and volume goals.
  • Create and execute quarterly or annual sales plans for assigned accounts.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end Product Line Review Process, including planning, alignment, execution, and presentation.
  • Provide accurate pricing, availability, and product substitution options.
  • Act as liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure requirements are met.
  • Prepare clear written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Participate in trade shows, conventions, and company events.
  • Develop distribution strategies, reselling agreements, and other growth initiatives.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and promotional trends.
  • Produce monthly sales reports, forecasts, and analytics.

Required profile

  • University degree in business or marketing.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, account development, and distribution channel management.
  • Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public‑speaking skills.
  • Proven teamwork and people‑management capabilities.
