Level 2 Telecom Technician – Installation & Testing

About the role

Wesbell is seeking a Level 2 Telecom Technician to join its Calgary team. The role involves the complete furnishing, installation, and testing of power and telecom/IT equipment used in telecom, cable, wireless, and enterprise networks.

Key responsibilities

• Install AUX racking, equipment racks, and cabinets.
• Install and connect copper and fiber cable assemblies.
• De‑install equipment and perform cable mining.
• Install power‑related equipment and various battery types.
• Perform DC power setup and fiber testing.
• Travel to customer sites and work evenings or weekends as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in telecom installation or a related field.
• Practical ability, common sense, and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel and use a personal vehicle; valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Ability to follow safety training (First Aid/CPR, Ladder Safety, WHMIS, TDG, proper lifting).
• Team player with a positive, professional attitude.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
