About the role
Goodmans LLP is seeking a full‑time Legal Assistant to join its onsite Support team. You will provide clerical and administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the firm and high‑quality service to clients.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Legal Assistants, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Work with various legal documents such as agreements, letters, memos, presentations, and practice‑specific forms.
- Revise, proofread, and blackline documents against originals.
- Enter docket items, prepare cheque requisitions, and process amounts when appropriate.
- Schedule appointments, arrange conference calls, and coordinate client meetings, including room bookings and catering.
- Maintain client confidentiality and manage practice‑specific databases.
- Offer backup assistance to Legal Assistants during absences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or completed post‑secondary education focused on legal administration or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Client‑service mindset with proactive anticipation of needs.
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
