Industrial Design Architect – Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Design Architect to work remotely on commercial space and warehouse projects. The role focuses on reviewing facility layouts, assessing operational readiness, and delivering scalable design solutions that improve efficiency and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate facility layouts to identify risks and optimization opportunities across operational areas.
• Assess power, HVAC, networking, security, and life‑safety systems for operational readiness.
• Optimize layouts to enhance throughput, equipment uptime, workflow efficiency, and space utilization.
• Analyze adjacency and workflow design to enable seamless movement of people, robots, and materials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop scalable facility solutions.
• Identify design and infrastructure risks early to inform site selection and build‑out decisions.

Required profile

• Strong experience in commercial architecture, industrial facilities, warehouse planning, or manufacturing environments.
• Deep understanding of operational workflows, facility systems, and space optimization.
• Ability to review technical floor plans and translate requirements into practical build‑out recommendations.
• Systems‑thinking mindset focused on efficiency, scalability, and safety.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Proficiency with SketchUp.
• Proficiency with Rhino.
