Hotel General Manager – 4‑Star Ottawa Property

About the role

This is a senior leadership opportunity to manage a branded 4‑star, full‑service hotel with over 140 rooms in the greater Ottawa region. The General Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, revenue growth, and guest satisfaction while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel operations, including rooms, housekeeping, front desk, reservations, and back‑office functions.
• Develop and execute revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, and profitability.
• Lead sales initiatives, build corporate and group client relationships, and identify new revenue streams.
• Mentor and inspire department heads and staff, promoting accountability and professional growth.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with corporate and local stakeholders to enhance market presence and brand performance.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
• Champion continuous improvement and best‑practice initiatives across all departments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as General Manager in a branded full‑service hotel of similar size (120+ rooms).
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue and profitability.
• Expertise in revenue management, sales generation, and strategic planning.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team‑development abilities.
• Comfortable operating in a high‑touch, service‑oriented environment.
• Bilingual in English and French.
