Head Trainer

About the role

Aeromag, a private company specializing in aircraft de‑icing and fluid recycling, is looking for a Head Trainer to lead its training programs at the YUL Montreal site. You will design, deliver, and continuously improve training for de‑icing operations, ground support, and safety procedures, ensuring staff are job‑ready and compliant with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update training programs for aircraft de‑icing, equipment handling, and safety compliance.
• Deliver classroom and field training to seasonal and permanent staff.
• Ensure all training meets regulatory requirements and Aeromag operational standards.
• Lead Train‑the‑Trainer initiatives to expand training capacity across shifts and seasons.
• Monitor training effectiveness through performance reviews, safety audits, and operational feedback.
• Maintain training records and certification tracking for all personnel.
• Support onboarding and seasonal ramp‑up through efficient training coordination.
• Collaborate with corporate training, safety, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment.
• Identify training gaps and propose continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in aviation, transportation, or logistics.
• Experience with ground operations or de‑icing operations is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, training methodologies, and adult learning principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in‑person and virtual.
• Comfortable working in outdoor, fast‑paced, seasonal environments.
• Ability to travel occasionally to support training at other locations.
